Allenby Swimming Data 2022-23
We are required to publish data on the proportion of our Year 6 cohort who are meeting the national curriculum requirement to swim competently, confidently and proficiently over a distance of at least 25 metres, use a range of strokes effectively and perform safe self-rescue in different water-based situations. We teach swimming in Year 4 and use this informtion, as well as data gathered from families who continue with their swimming outside of school. Locally children who finish Stage 4 can swim 25m in four strokes and complete a basic life saving unit, thus meeting the national expectations.
