Safeguarding at Allenby
If you are ever concerned or need to report anything, please contact our safeguarding team via

Staff and Governors at Allenby Primary are aware that many children are the victims of different kinds of abuse and that they can be subjected to social factors that have an adverse impact upon their lives – including domestic violence, substance misuse, bullying, mental health and radicalisation. We also acknowledge that safeguarding incidents could happen anywhere and staff should be alert to possible concerns arising.
Through our curriculum we teach children to stay safe and happy. We encourage the understanding that any problem or worry that they may have is legitimate, and to share their worries, big or small with their trusted adult; at home; school or with ChildLine/NSPCC etc.
During each term our children get a safeguarding assembly. We have shared our Autumn assembly below.
During our assembly this week we will be talking to the children about how to keep themselves safe. We will help the children understand that it is their right to be happy and safe and to encourage the understanding that any problem or worry that they may have is legitimate, and to share their worries – big or small – with their trusted adult; at home, at school, or with ChildLine.
The assembly can be found here.

During the assembly will we aim to give children:
-An understanding of different forms of abuse, including bullying, and an ability to recognise the signs of harm or abuse
-Knowledge of how to protect themselves from all forms of abuse
-An awareness of how to get help and sources of help, including ChildLine.
